3. Initial Setup
Before generating content, you need to configure the plugin with your API keys and business information.
3.1 Accessing Settings
- In your WordPress admin, go to AI Writer → Settings
- You'll see multiple tabs for different configuration options

3.2 API Configuration
Text Generation Provider
Choose your preferred AI provider for generating article content:
- Claude (Anthropic) - Recommended for high-quality, nuanced writing
- ChatGPT (OpenAI) - Great alternative with strong capabilities
Enter your API key for the selected provider:
Getting a Claude API Key
- Visit console.anthropic.com
- Create an account or log in
- Navigate to API Keys section
- Click 'Create Key' and copy the generated key
⚠️ Important: Keep your API key secure and never share it publicly.
Getting an OpenAI API Key
- Visit platform.openai.com
- Create an account or log in
- Go to API Keys in your account settings
- Click 'Create new secret key' and copy it
3.3 Image Generation Setup
Choose your image generation provider:
- DALL-E (OpenAI) - High-quality AI images, requires OpenAI API key
- FLUX (GetImg.ai) - Advanced image generation with artistic styles
- None - Skip automatic image generation

- Navigate to your API settings
- Generate an API key
- Paste the key in the GetImg API Key field
- Select your preferred FLUX model
✅ Tip: FLUX Schnell is faster and cheaper, while FLUX Pro produces higher quality images.
3.4 Business Information
Configure your business details for proper article attribution and internal linking:

3.5 Link Settings
Configure how many links should be included in generated articles:
- External Links (2-5 recommended) - Links to authoritative external sources
- Internal Links (2-3 recommended) - Links to your own content
💡 Note: More internal links help with SEO but too many can feel spammy. Balance is key.
3.6 Testing Your Configuration
After entering your API keys, use the 'Test Connection' buttons to verify everything works:
- Click 'Test Claude' or 'Test OpenAI' to verify text generation
- Click 'Test GetImg' to verify image generation (if configured)
- Green checkmarks indicate successful connections
