The Content Index powers the smart internal linking feature.

7.1 How It Works

WP Smart AI Writer Pro maintains an index of your existing content. When generating new articles, it uses this index to suggest relevant internal links.

  1. Automatically indexes published posts and pages
  2. Extracts keywords from titles, content, and tags
  3. Matches new content with relevant existing pages
  4. Suggests contextually appropriate links

7.2 Viewing the Content Index

  1. Navigate to AI Writer → Content Index
  2. View all indexed content
  3. See extracted keywords for each item
  4. Check last sync time

7.3 Syncing Content

The index updates automatically when you publish or update posts. To manually sync:

  1. Click 'Sync Now' on the Content Index page
  2. Wait for the sync to complete
  3. New and updated content will appear in the index

7.4 Improving Internal Linking

For better internal linking results:

  1. Use descriptive, keyword-rich titles
  2. Add relevant tags to your posts
  3. Organize content into logical categories
  4. Write comprehensive cornerstone content
  5. Keep the index up to date
